1. Acoustic phasing
All the elements that make up any given sound must be heard at exactly the same moment. Different drivers for low, mid and high frequencies mounted on a straight front baffle can lead to delays and cancellations in the frequencies perceived by the listener.
In order to counteract this phenomenon, Elipson has developed an exclusive alignment system for the different drivers. This compensates the signal delays from each sound source and the result is perfect time alignment and superb definition.
2. Multiple resonators
Sound is composed of a multitude of complex signals which can easily be distorted by an inferior reproduction unit. This phenomenon is referred to as coloration.
In order to have as natural a sound as possible, the speaker must have good impulse response.
The Elipson multiple resonator system effectively eliminates any unwanted colouring.
3. Each speaker has its own, unique design
The higher the frequency of a sound, the more a speaker becomes directional. This directivity becomes a major problem when listening to music indoors, where the sound distribution needs to be as wide as possible.
Sixty years of research have led Elipson to create unique forms for each speaker – resulting in excellent sound distribution at all frequencies.
4. Symmetrical load
Correct reproduction of the level and quality of all frequencies is essential in order to re-create the acoustics of the concert hall.
In order to achieve this, the amplitude must remain constant and the sound free of distortion, and this right across the audible bandwidth (40 to 20 000 Hz).
The Elipson symmetrical load system guarantees distortion-free bass even below 40 Hz.
